About The Council

Balloch Community Council

The village of Balloch is located approximately 6km to the east of the city of Inverness. With a population of around 1400, Balloch enjoys a rural feel, surrounded by farmland and forest with many vantage points and views over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle. Balloch has a rich, long history and has been a village for well over 100 years.

An abundance of services are available within the village – primary school, shop, play park, vet surgery, church and transport links into the city of Inverness.

Balloch Community Council is a voluntary organisation. It aims to be the voice of the local area. Meetings are held monthly in the village hall. These are usually attended by local councillors and members of the public are welcome too.
